Mikroekonomisk teori
The course gives a sound understanding of the formal core theories of microeconomics. It goes deeper than previous courses into topics such as consumer demand, producer supply and general equilibrium analysis. The course emphasizes mathematical analysis in developing the theory, but also explores its relationship with graphical analysis and formal economic reasoning. Although the course focuses on the theoretical framework of microeconomic analysis, there will also be some applications presented to illustrate the use of these analytical tools.

Register for the course at SLU only
It is not possible to self-register for this course in Ladok Student. How to register for the course depends on what programme you are enrolled in:
* Students on Agronomprogrammet – ekonomi can register by sending an email to econ-edu@slu.se. The deadline is 22 of August.
* Students starting a master's programme will be registered as part of the roll call for their programme.
You can only get access to the course material on Studium at Uppsala University after you have registered at SLU. It may take up to a few days after the registration at SLU before you receive a confirmation from Uppsala University that you can activate your student account at Uppsala University. You also need a student account at Uppsala University to access their Ladok Student to sign up for exams.
Please note that you must be admitted and registered to attend the course. Unregistered students may NOT stay on the premises, for reasons of insurance, and cannot participate in examinations. If you withdraw from the course, we kindly ask you to notify econ-edu@slu.se. We will register a non-completion in Ladok and notify Uppsala University.
If you need special support, please inform the course leader or student administration at the start of the course so that special arrangements can be made, for example for examination. Certificates from Nais must be presented with information about the support recommended for you. More information can be found here: Study support

Kraven för kursens olika betygsgrader framgår av betygskriterier, som ska finnas tillgängliga senast vid kursstart.Examinationsformer och fordringar för godkänd kurs
- Examinatorn har, om det finns skäl och är möjligt, rätt att ge en kompletteringsuppgift till den student som inte blivit godkänd på en examination.
- Om studenten har ett beslut från SLU om riktat pedagogiskt stöd på grund av funktionsnedsättning, kan examinatorn ge ett anpassat prov eller låta studenten genomföra provet på ett alternativt sätt.
- Om denna kursplan läggs ned, ska SLU besluta om övergångsbestämmelser för examination av studenter, som antagits enligt denna kursplan och ännu inte blivit godkända.
- För examination av självständigt arbete (examensarbete) gäller dessutom att examinatorn kan tillåta studenten att göra kompletteringar efter inlämningsdatum. Mer information finns i utbildningshandboken.

The course is offered in collaboration with the Department of Economics at Uppsala University (UU), which is also responsible for the examination of the course.
The course examiner grades the students according to the grading scale decided by the Department of Economics, UU, for the course 2NE811 Microeconomic Theory while applying the below grading criteria.
