How to apply for study support for students with disabilities

Last changed: 01 March 2023

If you have a disability and need study support, you will need to apply for this and submit a certificate from a specialist.

You make your application by filling in an online application form in the system called “Nais”. If you already are accepted as a student to SLU you can login by using your student login. If you don’t have the student login yet you use the same login as on universityadmissions.se. When making your application you upload a certificate from a specialist either as a pdf file or as a picture.

Apply for study support

You are always welcome to make an appointment with your coordinator if you have questions concerning your application.

Certificate from a specialist

You must provide evidence of your disability in the form of a certificate from a doctor, psychologist or dyslexia examiner. The certificate must state what kind of disability you have (for example, your diagnosis). It must also state how your disability will affect your studies and what kind of support would help you. The cerificate must be written in Swedish or English.

Processing your application

Once we have received your application we will contact you for a meeting in person, or over the phone. SLU’s coordinator will process your application and you will receive an email notification when the decision is available.

If you have any questions about your application, what study support is available or what the definition of a disability is, please contact SLU’s coordinator of
special pedagogical support
or the contact person at your study venue.

If you have any questions about your application, please contact us.
