BECFOR is organizing half-day study visits this autumn (one per month Sept, Oct and Nov). This time 6th of november 12-16. Visits will be for 5-10 PhD students and aim to promote professional contacts in BECFOR core areas.
Our second BECFOR visit will be to the Svartberget Research Park. It is located about an hour drive from Umeå. We’ll get a tour of the Research Station and then visit examples of long-term forestry and water quality studies as well as new technology used to study climate change, such as the 150m tall eddy covariance tower, among other things.
Date: 6 November 2020, Friday
Time : 12:00 – 16:00
Where: Meet at SLU Library
There is no need to have any background in forestry, just your interest in learning is enough to join! You need to eat lunch before we leave at 12 (or you can eat in the car if you want). Fika (coffee/tea + a sandwich) will be provided around 14:00.
Due to corona, we need to keep the group relatively small. The first 10 students to sign up will get priority.
Please fill out the Google Form to sign up.
