Film Week - 10th Anniversary

evenemang |

The Environmental Communication and Management master's programme warmly invites all students and staff of the Campus Uppsala to a screening of short environmental films, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Environmental Communication Film Week.

This year, the Environmental Communication and Management master's program celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Environmental Communication Film Week. This is an activity of the Introduction to Environmental Communication course, in which students have the task of creating short environmental films. The goal is to explore diverse processes of communication and meaning-making during and after the creation of the films, as well as their impact on understanding and engaging with various environmental topics.

Over these 10 years of filmmaking, we have seen many fascinating films, reflecting at times changes in discourses and narratives about the environment, environmental issues, human-nature relationships, and other sustainability-related topics. The films range from dystopian, doomsday-type to ones with hopeful and comical environmental messages. They provide insights into ideas, meanings and communication about the environment over the past decade.

To celebrate, we would like to share these films with a wider audience!

Films will be continously screening from 10.00 to 17.00 in the lobby next to lecture room Z in Ulls Hus (Section D, entrance floor). We welcome everyone to stop by, watch the films, and leave a comment on the interactive board.

Hope you’ll enjoy the films!
