Green & Blue Infrastructure for Urban Health and Well-Being

The spring semester's third and last webinar in the series on urban forests, arranged by SLU Urban Futures and Future Forests, will be given by Jing Ma, Associate Senior Lecturer at Luleå University of Technology. She will talk about the research area that concerns green and blue infrastructure and its impact on people's health and well-being.

Jing Ma is working at the division of Architecture and Water at Luleå University of Technology. She has a background in landscape architecture, with great interests in green and blue infrastructure (GBI) and livable environments. Her research focuses on the relationship between GBI and human health and wellbeing, assessing the accessibility and equity of GBI to enhance the quality-of-life experiences of residents.

In the webinar, Jing will talk about the Green Infrastructure (GI) research she carried out both in New Zealand and the UK, using ArcGIS-based network analysis to measure GI accessibility and cost-benefit analysis of GI interventions to improve human health and well-being.
