Here you will find information about the application process. Even if you are already studying on a programme you still need to apply for the courses for the following semester.

If you are already studying on a programme, in almost all cases you still need to apply for the courses for the following semester, even if you do not actually have any options. This is to confirm that you intend to continue your studies and so that we can check whether you meet the entry requirements for the future courses.

You apply for programmes and courses at SLU through

If you are already a student at SLU, you can go to the tab Log in and select the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences under the heading Are you already a student? Then follow the instructions.

There you can also see which qualifications are already registered, read your preliminary assessment and reply to your notification of selection results.

It is important that you apply in time. The deadline for applications that applies to you is dependent on which courses or study programmes you want to apply for; find out more at important dates.

Remember that your application is not complete until you have submitted any supplementary qualifications to the University Admissions in Sweden:

Application and tuition fees

Prior to the autumn semester 2011, application and tuition fees were introduced at basic and advanced level for applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA countries or Switzerland. As a Swedish citizen, you do not need to pay either application or tuition fees. Fee-paying students are required to pay the tuition fee before they can begin their studies. Find out more at
If you are a citizen from outside EU/EEA/Switzerland, there are some exemptions.

How your information is used

The information from your application and your study result are recorded electronically. Some information is forwarded to Statistics Sweden (SCB), the Swedish Higher Education Authority (Universitetskanslersämbetet), the Swedish Ministry of Education and Research and the Central student finance board (CSN). The conditions for managing the register are set out in the Swedish Ordinance on Reporting of Studies and Other Matters at Universities and Colleges (SFS 1993:1153). The right to obtain an extract from the register is governed by the Swedish Data Protection Act (SFS 1998:204).
