New scholarship instituted for parasitology thesis

Vidilab/kollamasken, veterinary medical laboratory in Enköping has established a scholarship in memory of Olle Nilsson. Olle (also called Mask-Olle) was a prominent figure in veterinary parasitology.
- Olle acted as a mentor, and without his commitment and support there would have been no laboratory. Olle has been there as support throughout the years. He followed everything that happened in the veterinary world with great interest, says Bitte Ljungström, Vidilab's founder.
The forms for the scholarship are being determined, what is clear is that it will be awarded to a student at SLU who performs a parasitological project work that will benefit Vidilab/kollamasken and the industry. A scholar for 2023 has been appointed and will receive SEK 10,000 in connection with the graduation ceremony in January. From 2024, two scholarship holders will share SEK 25,000. The scholarship application form will be available via the VH faculty's page for scholarships and grants website and the student website.
