Use your common sense this Walpurgis: #stannahemma

Published: 24 April 2020

This Walpurgis Eve, we all need to take responsibility for not spreading the virus and unnecessarily burdening healthcare services. This also applies to SLU students, regardless of which campus you study at.

Avoid celebrating in larger groups. Stay at home, celebrate where you are – in the garden, on your balcony or indoors. Naturally, this also applies to the nights before and after Walpurgis Eve.

Remember that you’re a student at a world-class university. We ask that you also display world-class behaviour. It’s a lot to ask, but we’re convinced you can do it.

By avoiding to form large groups of people, you may save someone’s life.

#stannahemma

Several stakeholders have joined forces to reduce the spread of the virus in connection with the Walpurgis celebrations through the #stannahemma (stay at home) campaign.

These include the Uppsala County Administrative Board, the Police, Uppsala Municipality, Destination Uppsala, Region Uppsala, Uppsala University and SLU.
