Environmental workshop in Alnarp

Published: 29 November 2019

On the initiative of the student unions in Alnarp, a workshop was recently held on what environmental issues the students experience most important.

The ideas had previously been captured through proposal boxes and then worked in small groups to discuss and prioritize the most important issues.

Matilda Hagman from ASK and Sara Helsen from the Alnarp Group for Climate led the closing discussion. Sustainability in education, food on campus and good conditions for bicycle commuting were three issues that were felt to be important.

Environment Manager Johanna Sennmark and Service Manager Mats Svensson also participated and started with a presentation of SLU's environmental work.

- We hope this concept can be an annual event. It is a great advantage to be able to both capture the students' suggestions and questions and at the same time inform about SLU's environmental work, says Johanna Sennmark.
