The SLU Library and the Sune Jonsson Centre for Documentary Photography at the Västerbotten Museum invite you to a conversation about the archive as a starting point for historical deep dives, alternative narratives and making interdisciplinary crossings.
Artist and photographer Albert Sten and Alexandra Ellis, documentary photographer and curator at the Sune Jonsson Centre for Documentary Photography (SJCD) at Västerbotten Museum, meet in a conversation led by Annika Mossing. The conversation will revolve around the archive and how it can be used to portray different historical events and perspectives – both artistically and in terms of research. During the autumn of 2022, Albert Sten was a resident at SJCD and worked with, among other things, the forest history photo archive at SLU, which is available digitally and at the SLU University Library in Umeå.
