events |

Do you need a break from your studies, or do you want to meet new friends at SLU? Welcome to join the SLU University library book club where we discuss fiction in a social and casual setting. This book club meeting will be held in Swedish.

SLU University Library invites you to join our book club! This semester we will read the book “Thursday Murder Club” by Richard Osman. In the book we meet Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron, all of them pushing eighty, who live in a retirement home in the English countryside. Together they form the unorthodox and creative Thursday Murder Club, who meet once a week to, to the best of their abilities, solve unresolved murders. When a brutal killing takes place the group find themselves in the middle of their first live case.

All participants get a copy of the book in Swedish free of charge. If you have a library card at any public library, you can also choose to borrow the book from there.  The book is also available (in Swedish) thorugh Legimus for those who have reading difficulties.

No previous knowledge needed, but please note that the language for this meeting is Swedish. Limited number of seats.
