Economic Growth and Sustainable Development

This course starts by giving a theoretical description of the relation between economic growth, natural resources and the environment. At the centre is the rate of technical progress, which is emphasised by new growth theories. This framework is then used to enhance the understanding of empirical observations. Special attention is given to the types of technical progress that saves natural resources and that makes production cleaner.
