Analytical Natural Products Chemistry

The course is intended to give the student knowledge about the most important natural products. Occurrence, chemical properties and analytical methods will be covered.

The following natural products will be covered: Carbohydrates, lipids, nucleic acids, amino acids, peptides, terpenes, steroids and alkaloids.

The following analytical techniques will be covered: Spectroscopy (NMR, MS, IR, UV), chromatography (GC, HPLC, TLC).
