SLU starts with digital degree certificates

As of 24 April, you can print your degree certificate yourself from Ladok. SLU will no longer be sending out certificates by email.
This change is part of a larger national digitalisation effort affecting all Swedish higher education institutions. For now, the new procedure applies to degree certificates at undergraduate and Master’s level, but not doctoral degrees.
How does this impact students?
- You apply for your degree as usual in Ladok on the web.
- When the certificate has been issued, you will get an email from Ladok.
- You log in and download your degree certificate as a pdf file which can be printed if you need a paper copy. You can download your certificate as many times as you like.
- The certificate can be digitally verified using Ladok.
- Degree certificates that have already been issued, as paper copies or pdf files, will not be replaced with the new digital version.
- Alumni who no longer have an active student account can log in to Ladok using BankID or Freja eID+.
