Pasture time at Röbäcksdalen

Different groups of cows got access to the green meadows during the week. Pastures are important as several birds nest there, e.g. the Västerbotten county animal the Eurasian Curlew. It is also important for insects who feed on the manure of the animals. The dairy cows will be out on pasture from end of May to the beginning of September. The younger animals can be out until October if the weather allows it.
