Is the computerlab full? Do you want to work out in the sun? Now you can access SLU application and your own documents from your own computer, tablet or smartphone. My desktop can be used from inside the SLU network as well as from home.

Graphics-heavy software such as CAD and GIS applications will still need to be run on stationary computers with big screens.

Follow the steps below to get started:

Connect to the SLU wireless network 

    1. Connect your device to the SLU wireless network.
    2. Open your browser and log on using your AD account.
  1. Install the Microsoft remote desktop
    • Windows 7: Use Internet Explorer according to 3 below.
    • Windows 8: Use Internet Explorer according to 3 below or install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from Windows Store.
    • Mac: Install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from Appstore.
    • IOS: Install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from Appstore:
      Android: Install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from Google Play
      Windows Phone: Microsoft's officiall app will be released later.

  2. Configure and connect to SLU´s standard software

          Via Windows Internet Explorer
    1. Go to https://rdsweb.slu.se/RDWeb/ Opens in new window
    2. Log on using your student account:
    3. Domain\user name: ad\[student account]
    4. Password: [your password]
    5. Select an application from the list.

          Via app for Mac, IOS or Android
    1. Find the settings/configuration screen and enter the information below under Remote resources:
    2. URL: https://rdsweb.slu.se/RDWeb/feed/webfeed.aspx Opens in new window
    3. User name: ad\[student account]
    4. Password: [your password]
    5. Select an application from the list.
