There are several opportunities for you who are studying on a master's programme at SLU to go on an exchange abroad.

Exchange at a Partner University

If you previously finished a Bachelor Degree at SLU, you can do an exchange semester in your first year of the masters. If you are a new student to SLU, you can do an exchange during the autumn of your second year. Here are 3 examples of universities which offers courses similar to the courses within your programme at SLU. In addition, you can choose from many other partner universities throughout the world.

You find more information about the universities, such as; number of available seats, term dates, language requirements, links etc. on our exchange portal. You can filter your alternatives of Universities abroad by country, education or exchange opportunity.

If you want to find out more about specific courses that previous students have taken at a partner university, you are welcome to contact mobility@slu.se.

Other international opportunities

As a Rural Development student you have the opportunity to study a summer course or do an internship abroad. Through ELLS, a European network with universities within life science education, you can apply for summer courses, including a travel grant of 500 Euro. The Nordplus programme offers courses throughout the year in the Nordic and Baltic countries. You can read more about the courses abroad here.

Further, you can choose to write your degree project abroad within the Erasmus- or Nordplus exchange. 

Within the Erasmus programme scholarships are also available for international internships (minimun 60 days). You can do an internship at an organization, at a university or a company in a European country. Read more about internship abroad here.
