Kursens syfte är att ge dig en praktisk anknytning till företag på landsbygden. Under kurstiden deltar du i de dagliga rutinerna på företaget/företagen. (Till stöd under denna period tilldelas du en handledare som instruerar i de olika momentens handhavande. Du tilldelas även en akademisk handledare som en resurs för frågor och diskussion.) Efter perioden med praktisk färdighetsträning sammanfattar du dina erfarenheter och redovisar dessa såväl skriftligt som muntligt.

After completing the course and internship, the student should be able to:
Describe the key tasks for the work(s) that the trainee performed, and the importance for the company they have.
Describe the company/organization where the practice has been located its/their context
Discuss the working conditions of this/these type(s) of operation
Reflect on what skills the trainee think should be important for their future professional role, when dealing with the type of businesses/organizations that the practice was located to.
Content
The course aims to equip students with a practical extension to rural businesses. During the course students participate in the daily routines of the company companies. (In support during this period the students are assigned a tutor, who instructs in the various practical works. The student is also assigned an academic tutor as a resource for questions and discussion.) After the period of practical skills training, the students summarizes their experiences and present them both orally and in writing . The presentation will include reflections on the thematic areas in the course goals, and selected in-depth questions.

Approved participation in the internship, passed written and oral presentation, and approved participation in the compulsory modules.

If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
For the assessment of an independent project (degree project), the examiner may also allow a student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Other information
The right to participate in teaching and/or supervision only applies for the course instance the student was admitted to and registered on.
If there are special reasons, students are entitled to participate in components with compulsory attendance when the course is given again. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Additional information
The student is the one who search for and suggest suitable internship, which however must be approved by SLU. The student must have a contact person at the place for the internship, as well as a supervisor at a department at SLU. The contact person at the place for the internship is expected to offer suitable internship in different working moments and also to supervise and inform/discourse with the student about the term of the business and its future.In order to guarantee the quality of the job experience contracts are beeing made with the companies that supply the places.
