Equestrian riding and horse management - riding-horse I

Additional information

Due to animal welfare issues and considering the welfare of the horses, if falls on the students to be responsible for the care of the horses included in the education. The student should also participate in the maintenance of the equipment, stable and local environment of these horses.**Discontinued practice**
A student may receive a fail grade and be stopped from participating in the practical training with living animals if there is a tangible risk that the student, through severe incompetence, could injure animals, other persons, themselves, or valuable property if they continued to participate in the practical training. An individual action plan will be prescribed for the student and served to them in writing. The plan will be established by the department responsible for the course after consultation with a study counselor and the student concerned. This plan, which is decided by the programme director of studies, should indicate which deficiencies in knowledge and skills the student has, which kind of support the student can receive from the department, and when a control can take place that the deficiencies have been resolved. The plan will also specify how this control will be carried out. Each student has the right to a maximum of two control occasions, but no more than one per year. The student may not take part in practical training with living animals until the programme director of studies has controlled and confirmed that the student has the knowledge and skills that are required.
