Want to become a Digital student ambassador for SLU?

Do you study a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at SLU? Do you enjoy studying at SLU and want to inspire others? Do you have an interest and understanding of social media? If yes, apply to become a Digital student ambassador for SLU!
We’re looking for students from all over the world and from all of SLU’s international Study programmes.
- Share your experiences of university life on Instagram (@studyatslu) and chat to prospective students on Unibuddy.
- Support students just like you, inspire others and show what life as a student at SLU is really like.
Study at SLU is an official SLU Instagram account focused on prospective international students. Unibuddy is a social platform that connects current students with prospective applicants from around the world. Through Instagram posts, videos and informal chats, Student ambassadors offer support, guidance and information to help applicants make the right decisions about higher education.
As a Student Ambassador you will:
- Post on the Instagram account @studyatslu and answer questions from students about studies, life and your experience at university (2 hours per week at the standard SLU hourly rate of 120 SEK per hour)
- Be part of a team with other student ambassadors.
- Help students find the right information and contact details for particular departments/people at SLU.
- Check your Unibuddy account on a daily basis and answer questions in a timely manner (within 24 hours on weekdays).
- Keep conversations going and build up a friendly relationship with students by asking questions and being engaging.
- Provide a real insight into SLU experiences through posts, photos, videos and chats.
To be a successful Student ambassador you will:
- Be a confident communicator who enjoys producing engaging content.
- Have a positive outlook on university life and studies.
- Be flexible and willing to respond to questions quickly and efficiently.
- Adopt a mature and professional approach to conversations.
How to apply:
To apply for this role, please express your interest by e-mail to study@slu.se no later than 7 May 2023. Please include the following information: name, e-mail, which study programme you are attending and home country. We would also like a letter where you tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to work as a Student ambassador. If you have worked with social media before, we encourage you to also submit a work sample with your application.
Your work as a Student ambassador will start in June and we expect you to work with us for 1 year (until August 2024).
If you get accepted you will get more information from SLU and also some additional training from Unibuddy.
