Irene Molina and Mattias Gardell from the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies on Racism at Uppsala University visits SLU Uppsala. They will present their report (co-authored with Sima Wolgast, Lund University) on racism and discrimination facing the Afro-Swedish population with specific emphasis on the high skilled job market. The report was made for the County Administrative Board of Stockholm (Länsstyrelsen i Stockholm) in 2018 to get a broader, empirical basis for the conditions of Afro-Swedish employees in the labour market.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion focusing on experiences from Swedish Universities.
All staff and students are welcome to attend. There is no need to sign up in advance for the seminar. Fika is available for the first 35 seminar participants.
