Animal environment, welfare and housing

The course treats applied aspects on animal environment, building function and animal welfare in the animal husbandry. The emphasis lies on agricultural animals, but also sport and companion animals will be observed. The students practice making assessments and to give advice around these to different target groups.


The students prepare and lead seminars based on scientific articles, compile scientific information and present compiled material both orally and in writing. In the course, a project work that is carried out is included in groups. Compulsory components occur within e g exercises, seminars, project work and study visits.
