Marketing for Sustainable Development in Fibre and Food Systems

This is an advanced marketing course for sustainable development. The course will enable the student to analyze key strategic challenges in the food system and other bio-based sectors for developing successful business and organizational and marketing strategy, based on an understanding of economic, social, and environmental value dimensions.

Welcome to Marketing for Sustainable Devleopment in Fibre and Food Systems (BM0005)

The course runs from November 3 2025 to January 18th 2026. It is a full time course, with on-campus activities such as lectures, seminars and interactive dialogues with external lecturers.

A main course book:

Belz, Frank-Martin & Peattie Ken, (2012) Sustainability Marketing: A Global Perspective, (2nd Ed.), John Wiley and Sons Ltd. Chichester, the UK.

is needed throughtout the course. Additional literature (articles) will be provided through the Canvas page and the services of the SLU library.

Mandatory parts of the course are the following - the first day of classes, seminars, external lecturers, lecture 5 and project related activities. Monday November 3rd is the first day of the class.
