**Avbrytande av en kurs **
Om du vill avbryta kursen inom tre veckor efter kursstart gör du det själv i Ladok. Information om hur du gör hittar du i manualen för Ladok Student på studentwebben. Har kursen pågått i mer än 3 veckor meddelar du kursadministratören som registrerar ett avbrott på kursen i Ladok efter ditt godkännande. Om inte avbrott meddelas kan det påverka din möjlighet att läsa kursen vid ett senare tillfälle.
Tentor
Du måste anmäla dig till tentor i Ladok. Anmälan stänger 10 arbetsdagar före tentamen. Det är inte möjligt att anmäla sig till tentamen efter att deadline har gått ut.

The overall aim of the course is to provide students with in-depth knowledge of innovation management in the context of sustainable development and circular bioeconomy. Specifically, the course will focus on the role of leadership in driving innovations.
After completing the course, students will be able to
- Explain and reflect on the differences between sustainable development and circularity from an innovation management perspective with a focus on bioeconomy.
- Explain theories and strategies in innovation management and its role in companies, organisations, business, and society.
- Analyse innovation processes within organizations both internally and externally.
- Identify, evaluate, and propose solutions to challenges faced by organisations in relation to the innovation process and its outcomes.
- Critically review and interpret current research and developments in innovation management.
- Present and communicate results from project work and case studies both orally and in writing.
Content
The course deals with innovation from a management perspective with a focus on circular bioeconomy. The following key topics are covered in the course:
- The role of innovation in the context of sustainable development and circularity.
- Potential opportunities, conditions and paradoxes in innovation and its role in business development.
- Strategies and theories in innovation management.
- Practical examples from companies and organisations and their management of different innovation projects (e.g., focused on product, process, business models or service innovation)
- The role of artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalisation from an innovation perspective
- Current research in the field of innovation management.
Implementation
The course utilises a variety of teaching methods to promote student learning and discussion through:
- Lectures and seminars.
- Case studies are used as a form of problem-based teaching where students both in groups and individually will discuss and analyse the case.
The course focuses on the following general competences

- Co-operation skills
- Analytical skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Problem-based learning (case study)

Grading form
The grade requirements within the course grading system are set out in specific criteria. These criteria must be available by the course start at the latest.Formats and requirements for examination
Approved oral and written presentation of project work and completed compulsory elements.
If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
For the assessment of an independent project (degree project), the examiner may also allow a student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Other information
The right to participate in teaching and/or supervision only applies for the course instance the student was admitted to and registered on.
