Advanced Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources

This course will provide the students with relevant knowledge on plant breeding in general and more specific, essential breeding methods including modern breeding technologies. The ability to perform breeding activities independently is trained under the course. Students will also gain necessary knowledge for participation in discussions concerning means and goals of plant breeding related to food production in a changing climate.

Welcome to participate in the course! There are no fixed course books that you need to buy, so the course literature will be minaly lectures that you will get and online research articles. The tentative time schedule is available on this website and minor modifications may be made later on after having responese from all teachers. The study visits will likely be physical as it looks like now.
