Welcome to the first Knitting and Crafts Café of the semester in Alnarp! This time we try nalbinding.
Nalbinding is one of the oldest textile techniques in the world, much older than both knitting and crochet. Using a large needle and yarn, textiles are created by sewing loops that are connected in various patterns. It has been used to create durable and warm garments such as mittens, socks and hats, including during the Viking Age.
We have materials for a limited number of participants, so first come, first served. However, everyone is welcome to watch or to work on their own craft projects.
The library offers coffee, tea and cookies.
