Human Library - a digital event on gender equality and equal opportunities

internal events | seminars, workshops |

What if your opinion on ethnicity, gender identity, disability, religion or body image was based on an actual conversation with someone who lives a life different from yours? What would you ask that person?

PLEASE NOTE! Registration for this event is now closed. See contact details below if you have any questions.

The Committee for Gender Equality & Equal Opportunities at the
NJ faculty invite you to a unique interactive experience hosted by "The Human Library".

The Human Library uses human 'books' that you are invited to 'read'. During this event, you will meet two people (so-called 'human books') with whom you can have a conversation while hearing their perspective on whatever you want to ask them about. The idea is that taboo topics can be discussed openly to help challenge prejudices and raise awareness around gender, religion and ethnicity.

We meet and interact in small groups via Zoom. These groups are designed to create a safe space where people who might otherwise never speak, find room for conversation. The conversations will be conducted in English and participants must have their Zoom camera on.

Places are limited to 30 participants. Please register by September 6. First come, first served. The workshop is open to participants from other faculties subject to availability.
