Welcome to the inauguration of a forest artwork, and a scientific presentation on the role of deadwood in forest ecosystems.
Future Forests, along with Bildmuséet and Kullar och Klang, invites researchers at Umeå University, SLU and Skogforsk to participate in the inauguration of a new forest artwork. The piece is entitled Waste waste waste (Spill spill spill) and was created by Malin Arnell and Åsa Elzén.
After the inauguration there follows a scientific presentation about dead wood and its role in the forest ecosystem, as well as an open discussion.
The inauguration will consist of a performance and a walk through the forest together.

We offer a free bus ride to and from Vännäs, which is about 30 km out from central Umeå. The bus leaves at 10:00 from Umeå University, and returns at 15:00. Lunch is included for all registered participants.
