The Future Forest platform is inviting SLU Uppsala researchers to a networking meeting. Join us for a presentation by Jonas Cedergren at Skogforsk and Jasmine Zhang at SLU about their research on continuous cover forestry, and get the opportunity to talk to other Uppsala researchers over a cup of coffee or tea.
Recently, there has been discussions on benefits and challenges with continuous cover forestry from a variety of perspectives such as forest production and regeneration, carbon cycles, economics, biodiversity, and forest owners’ attitudes. Soon, the book “Continuous Cover Forestry in Boreal Nordic Countries” will be published, written in collaboration between researchers from Sweden, Norway and Finland. Come and listen to two of the co-authors perspectives on continuous cover forestry. Jonas Cedergren from Skogforsk will talk about his research within silviculture, and Jasmine Zhang from SLU will talk about perspectives of forest owners and the forest sector on continuous cover forestry.
