Level 1, Ulls hus, Ultuna

Welcome to the opening of SLU's photography exhibition: An Eye for Science

How do we take stock of life on earth? How do we take care of the tiniest farm workers? How can we protect our fishes? And just what is the most dangerous animal for humans?

The exhibition An Eye for Science will be launched on 9 May by the Vice-Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel. The exhibition shows some concrete examples on how SLU takes on fundamental issues that affect all of us.

The hunt for interesting and aesthetic photographs of SLU's activities with high photographic quality began in the autumn. Eleven fascinating photos were selected along with eleven stories. The Division of Communication worked together with researchers and writers to realise these stories in articles about what is behind each photograph. And so An Eye for Science took shape – eleven large photographs printed on backlit displays with accompanying text and a website with more photographs and texts. The exhibition will be shown at some major events organized by SLU during 2023 and to visitors, employees, and students at several of SLU's locations.

Welcome to the opening on May 9th at Ulls hus, level 1, at 12:00-13:00 with opening speach by Vice-Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel at 12:15. No registration necessary.

See the stories behind the pictures at the website An Eye for Science.

Welcome!
