Are you a driven communication student? Do you want to help stimulate WWF’s work with companies to generate a positive impact for forests around the world? Apply for an internship at WWF Sweden!

Application deadline: 2024-06-04

We are looking for an intern for the autumn term who will mainly be involved in supporting communications for our Forests Forward and Forests For Life programmes. Forests Forward is a signature WWF programme for corporate action in support of nature, climate, and people. With over 27 participants including IKEA and HP, and growing fast, the programme’s work includes working with companies on responsible sourcing, sustainable forest management, as well as conservation projects in forest landscapes around the world.

During the internship you will get experience with content and narrative creation, including planning and writing stories, social media posts and compiling newsletters and reports, as well as with coordinating strategic communications projects, analytics, and organising webinars/events. Proficiency with graphics and video is a welcome bonus.

We are looking for someone who is curious and enjoys getting stuck in. You’ll get the chance to develop an amazing set of experiences as a communications officer and be embedded in a friendly, professional, and dynamic international team.

Desirable qualifications

  • Skilled communicator and a great writer
  • Precise, proactive and a fast learner
  • Creative and solutions-oriented
  • Experience with social media, including LinkedIn
  • Preferably competent with graphics and video editing
  • Passionate about sustainability and the environment, preferably with an understanding and interest in topical biodiversity and climate issues
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in English (Swedish not necessary, but helpful)
  • Studying at a relevant university or higher education institution, preferably specialising in communications

The internship is full time during the autumn semester 2024; the exact weeks are flexible. Being able to stay longer is a plus but the internship should not be shorter than 3 months.
