The purpose of Thesis Day is to spread the knowledge that comes out of our students' independent/degree projects to a broader audience in society. This day also gives SLU an opportunity to celebrate the students and put a focus on the fantastic research projects.

Who can participate?

All students at SLU who write their degree project or independent project during the academic year 2020/21 are welcome to participate in Thesis Day. Go to the poster presentation page to find out how to participate and about various awards available.

To participate in Thesis Day 2021, please register by 3 May, 2021

The event is open to the public to attend.


Thesis day consists of a digital poster exhibit, a live broacast with oral presentations and awards, followed by interactive networking with students and alumni.

Digital poster exhibit

The posters are presented in a digital format. All posters submitted by the deadline 20 May 2021, are part of the best poster competition. An academic jury will review the posters and present the award during the live broadcast ceremony.

In addition to the poster, there is an opportunity to include a personal presentation about yourself and your interests, research, contact information, etc. To see examples from past participants, please visit

Participation by alumni and other business representatives

Representatives from the business are invited to participate in the programme so this is a perfect opportunity to market yourself and your knowledge to them.
