About me
Mohammadreza Dehghannejad
A real interest in business and management led me to a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Working while studying in an industry and then getting a master’s in executive management and marketing, along with being familiar with the complex pyramids of large organizations, allowed me to be a productive, sociable, and communicative person. Meanwhile, actions on the importance of environmental and social responsibility targeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) stimulated my desire to focus more on global challenges. Here at SLU, continuing my second master's, I gained sufficient knowledge in discussing business models and value chains and tried to investigate the unfairness of the agri-food supply chain, especially in the initial phase. Given the role of agriculture as the key to sustainability in the food system, and being familiar with Swedish farmers’ challenges, I aim to seek innovative models in favor of these weaker actors and in order to maintain rural employment and social sustainability in this sector. Therefore, due to my multidisciplinary experiences and knowledge, my future focus will be on building an equitable supply chain for the benefit of all actors and stakeholders in the food system.
