Summary
This study has investigated the municipal management of urban heat in Malmö, Sweden. This has taken place through (i) a review of publications and (ii) interviews with key people in municipal administrations and committees in Malmö City, regarding urban heat and associated strategic management and planning. The study covers (1) how urban heat is recognized in urban planning in Malmö, (2) the factors that influence how urban heat is chosen to be prioritized and managed, and (3) the recognition of cross-sector cooperation to mitigate climate change in terms of urban heat.
