Summary
This study investigates the complexity and coherence of traditional and modernist building facades through fractal and entropy analysis. By employing these quantitative techniques, it aims to provide an objective and detailed examination of architectural styles in street level view. Through the lens of the preference matrix, we evaluate the variations in fractal dimensions and information entropy, shedding light on the topological characteristics and distribution of surface types. The findings can contribute to a deeper understanding of landscape aesthetics in our urban landscapes.
